About the Author

Born and raised near Bordeaux, Pascalle Monnier studied medieval and modern history in Paris. She then spent a year at the Villa Medici in Rome, followed by a year in New York. In addition to her poetry, she has also worked on collaborations with visual artists, including Laurent Saksik in L’oeil, les yeux, cette reproduction (1994) and Isabelle Waternaux in Equivalences (1996), and in theater with Arnaud Petit, writing the text for the oratorio Passim (2001). She currently lives in Paris with her husband and son.
