Richard Anders is one of the few postwar German poets to identify his work with surrealism. This collection of dark aphorisms is his first full-length appearance in English. Anders, who lives in Berlin, is the author of several books of surrealist poetry, two collections of short fiction in the style of Borges and Calvino, and an autobiographical novel. His poems have been previously translated by Michael Hamburger, Robert Creeley, and Rosmarie Waldrop. Saddle stapled chapbook.
